ReadSpeaker XT has speech enabled websites since 2005. It is an advanced reading tool that is very easy to implement, all you need to do is to place an HTML link or button on your site to activate the Reader. Once activated, the user can use ReadSpeaker XT to navigate by listening to a numbered link list and choose link using the navigation field. ReadSpeaker XT will follow the user automatically and stay activated when navigating the website.
ReadSpeaker XT offers different ways of listening to the text. The user can listen to a text selection, to the main page content or to the whole page including navigation. It is also possible to listen “section by section” with automatic highlighting. Another popular feature is the ability to automatically transform documents in PDF and Word format into HTML so that they can be read directly in the browser.
It is also possible to switch to text-only mode where the website is automatically transformed to a text-only-version with a number of color and font settings.
